The Burgwall von Linum is a cultural heritage monument located in the village of Linum, part of the municipality of Fehrbellin in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district of Brandenburg, Germany. This site is the remains of a Slavic lowland castle, known as a "Niederungsburg," which was later used by German knights. The castle dates back to the 8th to 12th centuries and served as a fortification until the 14th century. The original Slavic settlement included a castle and a surrounding village, which were integrated into the German settlement expansion in the 12th and 13th centuries. Today, the site is marked by an oval plateau, approximately 150 meters in diameter, located at the eastern end of the village on the Straße der Jugend. Although the original structures are no longer visible, the area is now occupied by several houses. Additionally, there was another Slavic castle southeast of Linum, with a diameter of about 140 meters, which is no longer discernible as it lies within agricultural land. The relationship between this secondary site and the main Burgwall von Linum remains unclear. The Burgwall von Linum is recognized for its historical significance and is protected as an archaeological monument.
