Schloss Altranft, located in the district of Brandenburg, Germany, is a historic manor house now referred to as a castle. It is situated in the village of Altranft, a part of Bad Freienwalde. The site has a rich history dating back to 1375, when it was first mentioned as a noble residence. The von Pfuel family originally owned it, and significant renovations transformed it into a Baroque castle between 1670 and 1678 under Wolf Friedrich von Bomsdorf. In 1739, Samuel von Marschall acquired the estate and played a key role in the drainage of the Oderbruch region. The estate changed hands several times, with notable owners including the von Hacke family, who expanded the castle and developed the surrounding park influenced by Peter Joseph Lenné. In 1916, the estate was sold to Carl Eschenbach, who revitalized it until the end of World War II. After the war, the property was nationalized and used for various purposes, including a school and cultural center. Since 1992, Schloss Altranft has housed museum spaces and is part of the Oderbruch Museum Altranft, dedicated to rural culture. The manor is a protected architectural heritage monument in Brandenburg.
