Schloss Kleßen is a historic manor house located in the village of Kleßen, part of the municipality of Kleßen-Görne in Brandenburg, Germany. Recognized as an architectural heritage monument, it is situated at Lindenplatz 1. The manor's history dates back to the 13th century when it was first documented as a noble residence. In 1352, the estate was transferred to Peter von Bredow by Margrave Ludwig VI of Brandenburg. The von Bredow family maintained ownership for several centuries, with significant developments occurring in 1580 when Joachim V. von Bredow constructed a noble residence in half-timbered style. The current structure, featuring three wings, was built between 1723 and 1730. After changing hands in 1929 to the Rochow family, the estate was taken over by the Soviet army in 1945, leading to a period of neglect until 1993. Since then, new owners have restored the manor, which now hosts various cultural and recreational activities. Visitors can explore the gardens, stay overnight, and participate in events like the Havelländische Musikfestspiele. The manor also houses a toy museum and a children's book museum, offering a blend of historical preservation and modern cultural experiences.
