Gutshaus Mahlenzien is a historic manor house located in the village of Mahlenzien, part of Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany. Built in 1804, it is recognized as a heritage monument in Brandenburg. The manor is a two-story plastered brick building with a hip roof, exemplifying classical architectural style. The history of Mahlenzien dates back to 1370, with the village first documented in that year. The estate changed ownership several times before being acquired by the von Schierstedt family in 1583, who transformed it into a significant part of the Rittergut Mahlenzien estate. The manor served as the residence for this noble family. After World War II, the manor was plundered by the Red Army and later repurposed as housing for local residents during the land reforms. It was placed under monument protection in 1955. Despite falling into disrepair, it was sold in 1993 and underwent necessary stabilization work in the early 2000s. In 2015, Ferréol Jay von Seldeneck purchased the property, initiating a comprehensive renovation estimated at 1.2 million euros. Today, Gutshaus Mahlenzien stands as an important cultural landmark, reflecting the rich history and architectural heritage of the region.
