Schloss Schönow is a historic neo-Gothic castle in Schönow, in Brandenburg, Germany, about 1.5 hours by train from Berlin. It stands within a former estate surrounded by nature, villages, and lakes, and today serves as an event venue that can be booked for gatherings with family and friends, film and photo shoots, artist residencies, yoga retreats, weddings, and parties. The estate of Schönow belonged to the von Sydow family from 1262 to 1863, and the estate complex with its farm buildings developed from the 18th century onward. The present castle was built around 1840. In 1863 the estate was sold to Gustav Karl Kieckebusch of Schwedt/Oder. Around 1892, Kurt Gustav von Lettow-Vorbeck became lord of the estate, and until the expropriation of 1945 it remained in the possession of Bernd von Lettow-Vorbeck. During the land reform, the estate was divided up. The manor house stood unused for a long time and was offered for sale until it was acquired by the current owners in 2014. It is now rented out for events. Historically, Schönow belonged to the Province of Pomerania until 1945 and later became part of Passow and, since 19 April 2022, the city of Schwedt/Oder.
