Gutshaus Gollwitz, also known as the Herrenhaus or Schloss, is a château located in Gollwitz, an administrative part of Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany. Originally built in the second half of the 18th century, the baroque-style building underwent renovations in 1929. It was long owned by the von Rochow family until it was expropriated after World War II during land reform measures. The estate, designated as an architectural heritage monument, includes additional buildings and a Gutspark. After the war, the building served various purposes, including housing a kindergarten and school. In 1997, plans to accommodate Jewish refugees from Russia were rejected by the local council, leading to the establishment of a civic foundation initiative. This initiative, supported by municipal and district authorities, aimed to create a meeting place for Jewish and non-Jewish individuals. Since April 2009, the Gutshaus has operated as a Begegnungsstätte, facilitating encounters between Jewish and non-Jewish youth. The facility offers accommodation and seminar rooms for educational programs. The property is managed by the Stiftung Begegnungsstätte Gollwitz and remains open to visitors interested in its historical and architectural significance. The site continues to serve as a venue for political education and youth encounters.
