The castle is recognized as an architectural heritage monument and is a significant example of Baroque architecture in the region. Notable features include a three-armed oak staircase and stucco ceilings. Historically, the castle was purchased in 1790 by Johann Christoph von Wöllner, a Prussian state minister known for his religious reforms.
