This newly constructed tower serves multiple purposes, enhancing the infrastructure of the area. It is situated near the Golm train station and provides information about the site, a consultation room, and an observation platform with views of the university campus and the scientific hub. The tower's ground floor features an ATM operated by the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse, fulfilling a long-standing request from local residents and park visitors. The upper floor houses the "smallest meeting room in Potsdam," equipped with Wi-Fi and heating, accommodating meetings for up to four people. This space is available for booking through the Potsdam Science Park management and is also used by local councils and associations. The tower is part of the broader development of the Potsdam Science Park, which spans 60 hectares and includes two Fraunhofer Institutes, three Max Planck Institutes, and faculties of the University of Potsdam. The park aims to attract 100 small and medium-sized enterprises and create approximately 1,000 new jobs over the next decade, supported by funding from the European Regional Development Fund and the state of Brandenburg.
