Schloss und Landschaftspark Steinhöfel is a neoclassical château located in the municipality of Steinhöfel, Landkreis Oder-Spree, Brandenburg, Germany. Originally built around 1730 by the noble von Wulffen family, the château has undergone several transformations. In 1759, during the Seven Years' War, Frederick the Great used the park as a rest stop before the Battle of Kunersdorf. The estate was sold in 1774 to State Minister Baron Joachim Christian von Blumenthal and later acquired by Valentin von Massow in 1790, who commissioned architect David Gilly to redesign it in a neoclassical style. The château features neo-Baroque modifications, including a central risalit with a triangular pediment and balconies. The surrounding English-style park, likely designed by Johann August Eyserbeck, enhances its beauty and historical significance. In the 20th century, the château was expropriated during land reforms and used for various purposes, including as a kindergarten and apartments. It was extensively restored from 1991 onwards, with support from the German Foundation for Monument Preservation. Today, Schloss Steinhöfel operates as a heritage-listed hotel with about 50 beds, offering guests a blend of historical charm and modern comfort. The château and its park are considered among the most beautiful noble residences in the region.
